Most bearded dragon care manuals will inform you that they need the occasional vertebrate prey in order to clean their systems out - and bearded dragons prefer live prey.

That was the first and probably last anole he'll ever get to eat. I had two green anoles that I didn't want anymore, so instead of putting them up for adoption at the local (and poor quality) PetCo, I chose to feed them to my two beardies. They loved them!

Yeah, that's the male, Zilla. He's 20 inches. He's eaten two anoles total, and he loves doin' it.

@hopey890 I love anoles as well, but they can't meet the personal bond you get with a bearded dragon.

I am an animal lover, and this is most certainly not "sick". Just imagine the amount of creatures these animals devour in their natural life. They NEED to have the occasional vertebrate prey in order to cleanse their digestive track. Now, if I were to NOT give them that, they would end up dying a long, painful death. The way I see it, is I'm raising them as naturally as I can to ensure they have a healthy, happy life.
