Description
My channel is for those situations where you may be the first responder. You will see the majority of videos are medical / trauma related but you will also see gear and gun reviews. You may need to be the first responder with helping someone is a medical situation but also may need to defend a life.

My videos are not meant to take the place of formal training. I take no responsibility on how you take or use the information on my channel! I hope everyone of you will take a first aid/CPR class!

I am a NREMT-P and I have been in 911 EMS since 2002. I also own Medical Gear Outfitters, LLC. I teach the following: ACLS, PALS, BCLS, PHTLS, EMT, TCCC, and TECC.I won the SC Paramedic Competition with a partner 2014, 2015, and 2016.

And again, I love the "selfish" out-takes. You really do make it easier for us to handle all this learning, by showing you aren't perfect, either, and that with practice, we can get good enough to save lives.

The wife is gonna be pissed when she sees what you have done to her stew meat.

I just got this recommended in 'Recipes' section.

So does that make this Surf and Turf? :)

In prehospital or outdoor situations wind can really send those granules everywhere. Thats why I like the gauze. Great product.

I never fail to learn something from your channel...Subscribed.

...but how does it work as a meat tenderizer and seasoning ? I'm going to skip your dinner invitation. Nice vid, great info, thank you.

If there's too much blood you can cut the end off a syringe, cover the tip with your finger and back fill it with the granules if your hands are steady enough. Bigger the better.

I like the ending! Shows you have humility. Thanks dude. Great info. Been putting a kit together.

Celox, from what I understand, is a great product and is saving lives.  It is still under patent, so no generics are for sale at a competitive price.  When does their patent run out so that the material can be manufactured at a lower price?

VERY good tutorial, basic simple, direct and to the point. Well done.

With a gash that deep im pretty sure you could skip pressure and go straight to the celox mate

I was bit by a dog, and used granulars to stop the bleeding. yes it works but once it stop it was very hard to irrigate the wounds for proper healing. It was painful cleaning that burned up stuff off my wounds. It did stop the bleeding. I will switch to the treated pads.

I have a patient scheduled this Thursday for oral surgery. She suffers from Von Willebrand's disease. We have a protocol from her physician but I'm bringing some Celox to the surgery just in case. Let's hope I don't have to use it
stefanodogg280 (6 hours ago)
Celox now advises against using the crystals direct, as it cause burns. In fact I believe they no longer sell the granules but instead sell gauze and pads
