What's going to sour most people in the owner operator game is the price they're paying for trucks with 500k. If you have little debt or no debt. The future looks good.

Truckers, as a whole, need to stand up and say "No" until they start paying profitable rates, detention, FSC, etc. When they can't move freight, they'll start paying. Trouble is...a group this size will never come to a consensus on anything.

Don't quit... That's what they want... Over 90% of the drivers in the market are owner operators with 20 or less trucks... The big companies don't like that because they can't find qualified drivers to penny pinch on how much they pay...

Getting into trucking is like having kids you think there is a perfect time but you're wrong and you just do it. Just go for it lol

I have been envious of you owner operators but it sounds like being a company driver might be the best place to be at the current time. The scary part of this market is it's not like previous ones we've ever been in. High fuel prices, truck and trailer prices, parts availability, supply chain shortages all at the same time. What happens from here is anyone's guess. You're right, it ain't gonna be pretty.

Can't forget about the Food Shortage coming this fall to add to the long list of current problems.

Trust me, trucks are going to start dropping in price real soon.
