You would think that a full load/unload cycle is one of the things that CIG playtesters have on there todo list. I really hope someone connected to CIG sees this. Thank you for your work Sir, and to CIG... Lazy, sloppy.

The only issue ive really seen with the Starlancer is that you need to load the 'belly' from the back to the front, then unload it from the front to the back.

It's ridiculous how the newest cargo ship has issues with its cargo grid - just like the Zeus CL. The ATLS is also too janky for its own good in most situations. Really shows that the devs don't play their own game.

Classic CIG no QA testing…

I really think such hindrances make the gameplay better, more interesting. When a player can learn techniques and workarounds for mastering challenges, it gives extra sense of accomplishment

I feel your pain, the star runner has the same roof collision issue. Subbed!

Nice vid good to know. Still can't wait for mine in the PU. Hopefully CIG sees this issue and addresses it.

Oh that’s good to know. Still excited for the ship but that’s a big oversight.

I don't understand how issues like these can get passed the seniors who sign them off? I mean its a cargo ship right, and so the cargo part not work makes this ship barely usable.

Ya, the StarLancer cargo area is my biggest gripe with this ship! That Center walkway just gets in the way of what the ship was designed for...

The tractor demonstrations are great. Consider mouse smoothing and a lot less movement when your mostly talking and we can see what your talking about.
Durion7 (20 hours ago)
Means CIG created a ship without ever testing its practicality yeah thats how i know star citizen.

They won’t give headway because they don’t want us loading a nova tank, they won’t give us a center grid because they don’t want us loading “the dedicated vehicle space” so instead they toe the line of nova tank height and add an extra 1 tall grid on each section in the back to meet capacity requirements, classic cig balancing hell.
johnnytrongaming (16 hours ago)
This is a pretty big concern when it comes to load times. Hopefully CIG will do something about the cargo bays. Maybe raising the landing height would help alleviate this.

Taking big boxes out of the belly bay is quite trivial if you just 'shake' the box as you lift it. Personallty I fon't bother with the ATLS. Where possible, I park with my tail to the elevator, stand beside the belly bay and use a Maxilift to to pull crates directly from the elevator to the cargo grid in one move. Each side takes 1:50 and as you are not slow-walking in an ATLS you can duck beneath the fuselage to change sides in about 5-10 seconds so both sides takes just 3:50. I agree that the rear bay works better if you put in the 4scu boxes first then I slightly rotate the 16 or 32scu boxes so one edge pokes into the locking area and it will immediately lock. Often though I just don't bother with the 4scu as it takes longer to get that 32scu in than it takes to load the whole belly bay. Without those crates I can load 192scu in about 7:30 and be away. To load the whole 128scu takes about 12 minutes. On the other hand, it takes about 20 minutes to fully load a Zeus CL :-)
