I laughed so hard at the one that had the egg jumping into the air and landing safely into the basket again!

:D did the same kinda thing in college but dropped vertically from a ladder... ours was an egg in a cage on a 4 axis bungie.. . it turned into scrambled egg :P

This teacher is providing this problem solving activity to get students excited about engineering. Maybe some of his student will become engineers and develop solutions which will feed thousands.
