I feel like Discord would be the kind of person who would give up his immortality/powers so he could pass away with Fluttershy

No matter how much Sunny and Spike support him, no one will ever replace Fluttershy for him. Their quiet tea parties, their jokes, their sorrow and joy, their understanding of each other.

Im hoping the show will explore Discord and I don't mind if they retcon the comics again and just establish him as happy guy who has plenty of kids that he already made with Fluttershy

That was beautiful yet tragic. It makes me want to cry. Fluttershy and Discord are the best couple in the My little pony friendship is magic franchise. I’m happy that got love to share with one another. They most likely had kids they got to raise. I’m happy my favorite ship became canon. Fluttercord for all eternity.

Even if they don't say anything, it hurts to see what could have happened...

A part of me wants discord to show up again in Gen 5, and be a recurring character again. If not a main character, but knowing discord. He most likely gave up his immortality to die along with Fluttershy.

I really wish mlp Gen 4 actually had some background about what would’ve happened to discord when Fluttershy would pass away, but then the other part of me wouldn’t be able to handle it since Fluttershy was, and will always be my favourite pony in the mlp franchise. And Discord will always be my favourite Draconeguus.
