Farleap had so much potential to be a commentary on how even kids who aren’t the main subject of abuse can still suffer from toxic families. It could show how she intentionally or not perpetuated the behaviors her mother and father started. But no. We can’t have nuance in My Pride! This supposedly adult show for real adults can’t handle complicated themes! Let’s just make Farleap into an innocent baby boi who NEVER did anything wrong…also let’s do that for Powerstrike and Quickmane (the ABUSERS too)! We can’t have too many unlikable characters. Just give em a five minute monologue, the audience will buy this crap despite what they’ve seen from these characters so far. Consistency? Noooo who needs that when we’ve got a plot. We don’t know what the plot is, but we have it! And the 500th draft of the plot dictates that these characters made for adult audiences must spell out exactly why you should feel bad for them and you should feel sorry you ever hated them. Tch, such newbies to writing. This is OBVIOUSLY how the best shows are written. /j

This is a nitpick more than anything and a far cry from the other issues in the show but does anyone else feel the lion colors in this show also make no sense? I know irl lions don’t have the coat colors they do or the eye colors they do but I mean this more in a character design sense.

You're completly right! I hate my pride and this series doesn't even make sense, here are some reasons why my pride doesn't make sense:

something else i want to point out about nothings ineffectiveness, cansu said if she killed lite then the cycle would repeat, then in episode 10 nothing said her place is to kill fire ( lite ) even tho cansu said it would repeat the cycle

Honestly here some things I would change in my pride

nah cuz it actually sickens me how many people think nothing deserved to be almost killed by quickmane or that kyoga was wrong for leaving lite

Coming back to this... again...here's what I think could've made episode 8-10 good.

I actually quit watching the show a few minutes into episode 7 because I genuinely thought they were going to fully break up Hover and Nothing, the couple the show built up in every piece of promotional content, in favor of Hover and Farleap.

The fact you took a show that has a bunch of issues and made a comic similar to it without those issues, powerful af.

Yknow, Tribble could’ve easily fixed the thing with the inconsistency of being able to reject a male. By simply saying that their pride didn’t have enough members to continue on without a mane, where as Moonstrikes pride had enough members to live for a bit. Cuz at the start of episode 1, there’s three grown lionesses. Still think the inconsistencies are terrible, but this could’ve atleast given a solution to a single problem.

After rewatching this I think the one character I got mad at was Powerstrike (aka Nothing's and Fire's mom). Now before I say anything:
