UPROXX Indie Mixtape
Description
UPROXX Indie Mixtape is the go-to for all things indie music. We serve as a funnel to make sure that only the best music — new and old — is delivered directly to the people who care the most.
Indie is more than a music genre. It's a sensibility. The indie fan may be overlooked in our current cultural climate, but they're alive and well — going to see live music, visiting art galleries, and prioritizing substance over facade. This is for you.
In partnership with RHINO, Indie Mixtape will now enable viewers to dive back into the origins of the genre as the go-to for vintage indie videos.

My lovely friend passed away at the end of November. She picked this song as her farewell song. I’ll always think of her when I hear it now. What a legend she was picking this. She said rock music always needs to be played extra loud. X

MTV did not dare go more than 15 minutes without playing this.

Fun fact: a guy went to live with his grandmother after attempting suicide. He was lying on the couch, wondering where his life would take him, then this song came on. I think it was their live mtv performance. It inspired this guy so much that he went on to become the lead singer of a band you may have heard of. It was Corey Taylor from Slipknot

I'm not sure how many people understand how amazing Mike Patton's vocals are. He sounds like like about 50 different musical artists. That's how diverse and wonderful his singing is!

When this song came out, it blew everyone away. All the elements of modern music: rock guitar, rap, new wave keyboards, and pounding rhythm section, all combined to create such musical tension. It was so ground-breaking at the time. Thank you Faith No More for taking chances and pushing boundaries.

Faith No More is definitely one of the best bands of all time and Mike Patton is the most versatile vocalist, a real talent.

I love this song, it's like hair metal, rap, rock, classical, 80/90s fused all into one.
