As a Korean, I can't thank you enough for covering our grimmest period.

My grandfather fought 2 wars, 3 different armies. He was intellectual class living northern korean peninsula, but enlisted by the Japanese army in 1944 and sent to manchuria. After WW2 is over, he came back to his hometown, but then enlisted by North Korean army. He sent to South Korea to fight, but he surrendered and fight against the North Korean army. After war, he settled down and made a family in South Korea. Unfortunately, he passed away when I was little, but I have so much respect to him for survivng from all the chaos happened in korean peninsula.

My ears are not yet used to hearing "I'm Indy Neidell and this is the Korean War" instead of "and this is World War 2", but already excited for this series

My modern history teacher in high school was a Korean War veteran. An engineer with the Canadian Forces. He wore a beard because of a shrapnel scar on his chin and jaw. He was a demanding but fair teacher, with a passion for the subjects he taught.

An uncle-in-law fought on Gloucester Hill, survived being PoW and came home forever changed. Never in good health, and unwilling to speak of what he endured, he died in his mid 40's. It made the Korean war has always been something I had great interest in. Veteran of your Great War and WW2, and very much looking forward to this. Cheers.

As an Italian I know nothing of the Korean War. But I think everybody should learn about "distant" wars, because the more you learn about them the more you painfully realize that, behind the unique historical events, it's always the same dynamics, the same ways of thinking that set war in motion. I think it helps being self-critical, because you look back at your own history and present times with a broader point of view.

My grandfather served in Korea. He always felt forgotten. I wish he could have seen this.

It’s unfortunate that I missed both the WW1 and WW2 series but I’m glad I will be able to watch this one as it progresses
