That Melody, and the voice, "Frosty Breath on the Window" -- it's so, so damn beautiful. I don't know how better to describe it. And the chorus with Tony singing is also classic. Very church like, or hymn like.

Trespass era was awesome. I loved the folky feel.

I agree. And it's mind boggling to think they were only 20 then...

I fucking love this era of Genesis......the mystery was there, the material was exquisite & interesting. By Foxtrot they had "found their sound" and consequently lost the mystery.

@Ghoopty I agree with the whole mystery thing. Have you ever heard about The Movement? It was a 42-minute song they made during this era, and is thought to be lost. Who knows, maybe it will show up someday. Anthony Phillips recently recovered an early version of Patricia. An engineer had fixed a broken tape, and discovered it this August.

Everybody should know that it is Tony Banks who sings the chorus.

I would love to find this record

@AstroParticle0 (thinks) Possibly, yeah. But it's still more backing vocals than upfront, like his solo parts in Shepherd.
gonzataker (3 hours ago)
@heehaa99 no,, who sings the backing vocals is tony banks
cosmicjazzer (2 hours ago)
@marmas58ink It's definitely Tony Banks singing the lead in the chorus :)
Mermaids sing in the sunset, sadly asking if beauty ever walks free

@zeldahei I've read about it....As I understand, parts of "The Movement" became "The Musical Box" (one of the greatest songs EVER, IMO) and other songs. More than anything, I want to hear all the material that didn't make it onto Trespass......
kamwrites (11 hours ago)
Actually this is the only time Tony Banks sings second vocals. Not Anthony Phillips.
zeldahei (21 hours ago)
@marmas58ink Gabriel is the main vocalist, I think. Maybe it is Anthony Phillips, I'm not sure
kermittheprog (7 hours ago)
It's Banks on backing vocals.
