I love how people forget the healing is what makes the claws possible. Without it, he wouldn't have survived the adamantium process or be able to pop his claws out without destroying his hands permanently. However because of said healing, the claws rip through wolverines knuckles every time they come out. He's even stated the pain is excruciating whenever they come out, but he's done it so many times he got used to it
