For some reason, the privacy control option is disabled by nvidia on laptops. I would recommend using OBS as an alternative if you want to record your desktop.

if you cant see the privacy options and you're on desktop, you probably have your DP/HDMI plugged into your motherboard instead of GPU. Thix also causes missing display options on nvidia control panel.
