Heh, Yularen usually seems fairly supportive of the Jedi... and then in that one scene he sounds like a bored unhelpful costumer service rep... “Negative, General. We will be unable to provide any air support at this time...”

As usual, Ki Adi Mundi being a walking contradiction

It was always made clear that the Republic's fighting forces adored Anakin. All part of Palpatine's plan, of course. He knew that when he eventually turned Anakin, the army and navy idolising him would come in handy. It was part of the reason he was so angry when Anakin got himself all Vaderised. Anakin could have capitalised on their love, but Vader could only exploit their fear.

Fun fact : the clones who shot Ki Adi Mundi didn't understand what "order 66" was, and the genetic implentation of the code failed. They just killed the jedi because they were tired of his shit.

To be fair, Yularen requests for more fighters to be scrounged up after Ki Adi Mundi’s clone troopers request it, and by the time Anakin asks for it, he has just gathered a spare squadron. It’s a funny parallel but there’s kind of a reason in the episode besides Anakin accepting a compliment and Ki Adi Mundi rejecting it.
