I think a lot of fans started to pick up on some systemic issues. I mean after thousands of comments keep asking for series hosted by Sohla, Gabby, Priya, and Christina, yet all of the series continued to be solely hosted by white staff members, things started to seem fishy. I think a lot of the audience didn’t follow up though because the channel had this veneer of diversity.

Honestly, why haven’t each member started their own channel? They have garnered a following, but not because of bon App, because of the fans they earned. Brad needs his own channel. Easy few million followers immediately! Go independent! We miss the individuals, not the channel!

BA was actually my favorite YT channel at the time. i was already a fan of chef content but this felt so much more personal, and the joy i felt when i saw a new its alive or their quarantine content was so fun. i had always wondered why christina or sohla or ricky didnt have their own little show, i wanted to know about EVERYONES style of cooking. im not upset its gone, if BA was flawed it needed to be fixed, it just fucking sucks that something so wholesome on the surface is so fucked in the shadows
