Tragically, VSauce has already proven the hole predicament. There are different types of holes, a blind hole and a through hole. A blind hole is a hole that goes partway through an object then stops, like a water bottle that has a hole at the top and no other holes to contain water inside of it. A through hole is a hole that passes completely through an object, like the hole in a doughnut. Straws are a classic example of a through hole.
