Hey so to the people who like this ship and wonder why people hate it, here's someone who hates the ship's perspective: Dog Man is still a dog. And before you say "but Petey is still a cat!" If you get technical with it, all cats are anthropomorphic which means they have human qualities and dogs are just like dogs in real life. "But dog man has human qualities!" No he doesn't, he is literally a dog's head on a man's body. He was MADE that way. Petey was born to walk on two legs and talk like a human. Dog Man still has the brain of a dog. And do not bring up the whole "but in the first book they said he was super smart!" Dogs are known for being smart and that doesn't change the fact that he is *STILL JUST A DOG*. Petey is anthropomorphic which makes him feel more human than cat. My point is, the ship to me feels like shipping human x dog. And no, Dog Man x Petey is not cannon y'all are just reading too deep into things. Of all ships to become cannon that one wouldn't be one of them.
