Why does a deer run away when you're out in the woods and accidentally step on a twig, but when this thing is blaring its horn at full blast the deer will just waltz right in front of the giant metal monster of a train that is barreling towards it?

I love how a deer will run from a person if they see you a mile away but they'll run right in front of a loud metal giant. Deer have no logic.

The average freight train is about 1 to 1¼ miles in length (90 to 120 rail cars). When it's moving at 55 miles an hour, it can take a mile or more to stop after the locomotive engineer fully applies the emergency brake
