Description
An addiction to science, electronics, making stuff, understanding how things work, and passing it all on to you...
My name is Steve and I'm a lifelong maker and amateur scientist and see no end in sight.
Videos are currently being made only every few months as time permits.
My preference for questions is in the comments to the relevant video.
And for anyone who's wondering, the name is meant to refer to our star, which is not on the rim of our galaxy but it's fun to pretend it is. By naming it this way I'm basically saying that any subject matter under the sun (or galaxy!) is fair game for this channel and its companion website, https://rimstar.org.

so is that power that k!lls you? you know high amp low volts doesnt k!ll you or high volt low current it should be both high which means its kind of depends the value of IxV which is power in Watts

Current/Amps kill you. High volts low current lower volt high current

I got hit with one leg of 240 off a main breaker. 120v of 20amp breaker. Right through my heart. Weirdest feeling ever. It stopped and then restarted.

Once I die, anyways, people will once again put my body into electric furnace . So How does it matter?

This is not true. The current is not the only one cause a shock. the energy is the main reason beacuse the electric chock is not only caused by current but the value of the voltage that allows the current through, the value of the current and the time which the body spend it absorbing the electric charge. then Volt x Current x Time = Energy

Its d voltage that kill not amp,u can hv a amperage under close loop cable when you touch it no shock but where there is voltage you got shock

Skin’s resistance only lowers at very high voltages (+500V). This phenomenon is not why 120V is dangerous, as that level, the voltage won’t alter your skin’s resistance at all. Simply, more voltage means more current for a given resistance. V=IR

The higher the potential (voltage) the higher the current (amperage). As little as half a milliamp can kill you under the right conditions.

Do we have volts or electrons in our body already?

The product of voltage and current kills you which is power

It's all about how much power is in the source of the electricity. It requires a certain level of voltage to push current through a human body. The higher the voltage, the higher is the current going through. you can't push a 10A current through a human body with a 10V source. That's technically not possible.
