The situation for Jeremy Pena was about as good as you could want for a rookie short stop to step into. The astros have a mature battle/playoff tested roster of great players that put their team first over individual achievements. They are a close knit family of players that care about each other. You have Dusty Baker as manager who is a baseball legend and beloved by players. What an environment for him to step into and learn. That is not to take anything away from Jeremy because he is a great talent and had the right character to fit right in and learn and prove that he belongs.

a 6'3 left hander at 1st base would be great for defense. and another left handed batter to mix into the lefty/right mix would frustrate pitchers

It’s a win-win for the Astros for Rizzo, even if they don’t sign him, but can drive the price up for the Yankees. Less money for the Yanks to spend else where

Rizzo would be a good option at 1b. It's no secret that the yankers are very unhappy with the fanbase and playing in nyc in general. Boooing Judge was the last straw for many of them. I know it's gotta be hard on yankers fans knowing that the Astros are their Papi and they need to clean house to compete with the Mighty Houston Astros Dynasty. I'm bummed about Mr. Click leaving, but he was not the culture. We have a culture that the new GM best not mess with. Whoever it will be, they just need to understand we have a winning formula here. ASTROS FOREVER, yankers never

Yankees podcasts are sh**ting bricks over the Astros coming to “steal” Rizzo. Funny.

Can you imagine what kind of numbers Rizzo will put up at Minute Maid with the new shift rules in place. You also don’t lose much on defense either.

Sad to see De Goti go, but looks like SS is locked down for the foreseeable future.

JV doesn’t bother me whether he stays or go. If he goes hope it’s an NL team.

Why would we lose a 1st round draft pick if we get Rizzo?
