Thanks for the review. I think it clears up a lot of uncertainties we had, and many of the big time YouTubers don't seem to have experienced the Chinese Switch first hand. So they can only "talk" about it.

All you need to know about NS China: 1. ONLY Simplified Chinese in it. 2.Can run all the physical cards but CANNOT link to the international servers, which means you can’t play online and download any DLCs(but normally updates are OKAY). 3.NO international eshop, ONLY China eshop(you can just login with WeChat ). 4.Just China NS can run China game cards. Ps:Most of Chinese also play with normal NS consoles (HK ver. or JP ver.). Now, China NS is less than 2000 Yuan.

in general, can you import unrestricted electronics? i’m surprised they just allow you to import it when they are trying to restrict it. other more important question, does hardware i.e joycons, docks, bought in china work with international versions without issues?

Just make sure you don't buy the only three tencent game titles.(New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe, Super Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe). It won't work on the global Nintendo switches. That Chinese copy of animal crossing is from Hong Kong/ Taiwan.

What games are even released on chinese switch as of now? I changed my systems language to simplified chinese cause I'm curious on which of the region free games support it. Out of it i had smash, ninjala, animal crossing, luigis mansion, links awakening, puyo puyo tetris 2 demo change to that language but i dont know if its actually released in china. I'm curious know what actually released on the tencent/chinese switch. Ik animal crossing is released in china for sure do to the news about it.
