My oldest son, BLAISE died July 4th 2016 at 16 years old. I didn't really get to teach him what it is like to be a real man and how to be self relient. I should have done it his whole life now it's to late. I vowed to teach my other three to learn and survive with out the norm and messed up thing's in society today. They live in it so it's my job to show them the true way of freedom and self reliance. Stick with me! All this will be caught on camera," how I did it and why.

I got this one and the vg-1 Japan steel! I paid like $120 for the vg-1. I gave $40 something for the sk-5 version. I like both! For the money you cannot go wrong with the sk-5. The sk-5 seems like it has got a powder steel coating! I think the vg-1 is tougher though! If you have a low budget; definitely get the sk-5 version! It's hard to find the vg-1 and the aus 8! If you do you will pay approximately $200 for it!

CS pretty much turned a hard use utility blade into a simple hunting knife with the hollow grind.

Long long time ago had the Carbon V one. I don't like false edges so I traded it. My Hultafors is SK5 and never gave any problems. In this case it could be a flaw in the making but it's a flaw in the design anyway. Combine that swedge with the hollow grind and you lose a lot of the tip strength. I don't even know why they do it on a search and rescue knife. They don't give their recon tanto a swedge and that's advertised as a tactical blade. I think it's a good knife but not for the hard use they suggest.
