what's really incredible is the vram usage on linux compared to windows

Just got the plasma 6 and kernel 6.9 on manjaro finnally. Games are butter smooth even with X11.

i bought an AMD gpu and it will be home soon, i hope to try linux again.

Some games like God of War would crash on Windows but run flawlessly on Linux so FPS doesn't tell the whole story. The crash is due to Memory leak which doesn't exist on the Linux version.

I get stable 180 fps in minecraft with a 12 yo cpu, got 70 unstable fps in windows 10

Valve needs to go ahead and release a full desktop version of SteamOS and I'm pretty sure they'll kill Windows on the gaming side. Steam Deck's experience so ridiculously smooth compared to PC gaming's current hassles.

Maybe expected, but D3D11 titles are still generally faster on Windows by the usual 5..10%; Vulkan shines on Linux, while VKD3D is a nice suprise to me :)

So confused by the red dead testing. From what I saw mostly, windows had a higher frame rate, yet linux had the higher avg?

Holy shit pacman is the best i knew they said that it was faster then apt and rpm but i didnt expect this much

It's pretty consistent seeing the fps higher on Linux and it still confuses me. I guess all the bloat Windows shoves at the hardware makes it worse but of course that's just a guess
