Description
Hi, My name is James T. Kilroy, I go by Jay. I live in Mississippi and I am primarly involved in the creation and use of data collection instrumentation focused on water issues, both quality and flow.

This channel is me playing in my man cave. Metal working, using lathes, mills, shapers etc. A little welding, but not much. A lot of my shop work is to support my business, some for paying customers, some for free customers "buddy-do's" and some just for fun. My email is below, please feel free to drop me a line. If you want to communicate via snail mail, drop me a line and I will send you a mailing address.

This is a super project, especially the reason for why you made it. Your commentary is excellent.

We use these in the tool & die shop to get a big hole close to size quick for before boring to tolerance. They work great. It's basically a round spinning broach with lots of teeth.

I've used annular cutters in a standard 3/4" R8 collet in my mill. Annular cutters can also be used like an end mill. The sides and annular end mills steels and aluminum great!

Hello, what is that round metal thing you have on the end of your work at 14:00 that has grease on it? I would liked to have seen the new drill in operation.

Mr Kilroy, I have had an interest in these cutters but I don't see many of them in machine shops. My only gripe, is how do you sharpen one?

Hi James, Another arbor could be made with a no.2 Morse trapper to

We use these in our Areospace shop ALL the time.

Annular cutters are good for one thing, and one thing only, making holes.

These should work well in a drill press, I'll post some MT specs in the morning.

A lot. The only 3.25 cutter I could find was a Jancy brand carbide tipped version at Grainger, and they want $620 for it.
