Great music from the era of the introduction of the Tangara. They were certainly very different from what we were used to.

Tangara’s design is timeless. They still look new next to Waratahs.

Tangaras seriously need to have functional and visible destination boards on the ends of each set. They also require electronic screens inside each carriage on both decks, as well as at ends of each carriage to inform passengers of the stations the train will stop at, as well as the next and current stations.

I agree with the other comments that the Tangaras have aged quite well. The wedge/slab front looks a little dated perhaps, but ok. Actually when you think of it, the Millennium and Waratah trains look about the same, with more modern "faces", but they've lost the Tangara's groovy upper deck wrap around HUGE windows, love 'em!

Cool insight on the Tangara! I love how epic the advertisement makes it look.
Fantastic History!

I really preferred the original grey livery of the Tangaras when they were first introduced. The all grey / glass Tangaras made them look so futuristic. The yellow front and doors makes them look a bit silly, not that I don't understand why they do it.

The original Tangaras had the most uncomfortable seats ever put into a Sydney train.
Wonderful work there Sydney rail buff And great pick of song much prefer 80s and 70s and 60s music than the new stuff
