I just got an 808 today. I removed a capacitor in less than 10 seconds. It is worth every penny.

You guys are lucky, you live in the USA, you can buy one of this for cheap. Me living in Europe, it's extremely expensive to get one of this, plus Hakko doesn't have many distributors who are willing to sell to private customers here.

Thanks man, It is very kind of you...I have a plan to visit USA in October and maybe I will buy one myself. In order to avoid taxes and everything, the best way is for someone to buy it in USA and then take it with himself to EU, because even if someone ships one of this for me from USA, technically I still have to pay import taxes, VAT and custom fee (it ends up to cost me at least 356.16 US Dollars, then I've to modify the transformer to work on 230 V, 50 Hz power line).

Also clean the tool regularly to keep it working well, the parts will just fall out of the boards, even multi pin chips just drop out.

Where I live it costs 542.38 USD including VAT. I live in Denmark, and if I'm correct, you can get one this in the USA for about 200 USD.

I want one of these SOOOO BAD. In my hands it would pay for itself in less than a month.
