I am very impressed how James and Ruth are in real life. Not fakers but real people who care for their fans and with much humor. It’s so gratifying to know that so many people have been as deeply touched and moved by their top performance as Asriel and Mrs Coulter .They are magic and timeless together as Asriel and Mrs Coulter and in real life as in this special interview.

The expressions of James’ face and movements and Ruth’ don’t give a f attitude made this interview just so very interesting. Normally I do not like actors saying the f word but it was almost innocent how they said it. Good interview and I lost my books during a move. Anyway, I am enjoying the series. I love sea otters, James.

I find it fascinating that you always get your guests open up and do and tell things they don’t do with other interviewers. Girl. I will never get sick of your relaxed and funny interviews :) You can wake me up in the middle of the night for your shows.

I've just recently watched all three seasons - utterly brilliant. And am so grateful. Having read the books a long time ago, I didn't get the full power of Mrs Coulter - I have never seen such a brilliant and chilling portrayal of the complex dynamics of what in psychology we'd call 'the death mother' - a woman in the grip of a narcissistic personality disorder. Azriel also has the same traits but is not as consumed by them as her.
