I'm a nurse and after a surgery I landed in the ICU. I have never been treated so horribly in my life. I could NOT believe what they were doing and saying to me. Like I was a criminal or something. Even criminals deserve better. I'm sorry this happened to you. I have lost faith in the US health care system.

There is nothing like a miserable, or worse, non-present nurse when you're in the hospital. And there is nothing like a lovely, sympathetic, caring nurse either. I've had both and both made huge impressions on me.

The hospital sounds like a hot mess! This needs to be reported! Patient care for brain surgery should never be delayed or taken lightly! This makes me angry! Please don't back down and accept this lack of care.

As a nurse this story is pretty common now days, I would never leave anyone alone in a hospital except for maybe 6 hours while they sleep. All this sounds exactly like when my daughter had an appendectomy.

When my husband was in the hospital, I brought him food in because the food was absolutely horrible. Always surprises me the garbage they feed people that are there to be “healed” .
