Lionel Ritchie is unquestionably one of the greatest music superstars of all time. It's not just the brilliant songwriting. It's also the stage presence and his ability to meander from Soul through R&B, Rock n roll, Funk and then Country. Infact, I think he should be inducted into the Country music hall of fame. And with what he did with the Commodores and his own solo efforts on tracks like machine gun, and running with the night and others, he should be in the Rock and Roll hall of fame as well. A great favorite of mine, I think the long sustained songwriting and performance deliveries speak for themselves. Oh, I almost forgot his Gospel exploits.

This was my Mom's and Stepdad's 1st dance song at their wedding back in 1984. Both are gone now but I know they are dancing together up in Heaven every night because they had that true love.
