1:22. That shot is freakin scary as hell. You are seeing something that was never meant to be seen by man…the exposed nuclear core.

The core can be clearly seen exposed, the rods melting in the open air, but the flew too close onto the roof the area where the core is not even helicopters can be there if anyone asks yes the core is the orange group of metals in one place that in the footage is currently melting down, I may be wrong but there is nothing hot enough that the core that exploded, you can see the core at 2:07

What still amazes me is the massive damage that reactor no.4 suffered yet no.3, literally on the other side of the wall, was ok and still used.

If you listen closely enough you can faintly hear Scherbina threatening to throw Legasov out of the helicopter.

I think this is one of the most stable and clear versions of this footage

Great job its ultra clear in that last shot I had to pause it 4 or 5 times just to take it all in !
