Michael Leslie Winslow is an American actor, comedian and beatboxer billed as The Man of 10,000 Sound Effects for his ability to make realistic sounds using only his voice. He is best known for his roles in all seven Police Academy films as Larvell Jones. He has also appeared in Spaceballs, Cheech and Chong's Next Movie and Nice Dreams, The Love Boat, and commercials for Cadbury and GEICO.

That actor was so good at throwing his voice that he threw it into the heart of countless “Police Academy” fans.

I do miss the days of Hollywood making genuine unapologetic comedies.... The Police Academy movies weren't masterpieces and they probably made one or two too many, but there is something to be said for just going for a laugh... and Michael Winslow / Larvell Jones was always just going for a laugh.

I think his one mission in life was to make people smile and laugh , hurt my gut laughing!

I went to see him here in Ireland for my 26th birthday, my jaw was on the floor the moment he entered the stage I swear he did the best jimmy Hendrix impression it was absolutely amazing. It was a night I will never forget. Hats off to you Michael Winslow
