Description
Welcome to Backcountry Companion.
I’m just a regular guy from northwestern Alberta. Happily married, proud dad of three, and someone who’s found peace in the mountains, throttle in hand on a motorcycle and snow beneath the skis in the winter.
After experiencing trauma during my younger years as a firefighter, I’ve lived with the weight of PTSD for decades. But I’ve also discovered something powerful: motorcycles, snowmobiles, fishing, and the wild, wide open backcountry bring me a sense of calm that words can barely explain.
This channel is about sharing that peace with you.
Whether you ride, cast a line, or simply need a quiet space to breathe, this is your place too. Here, we’ll customize adventure bikes, explore snow-covered trails, fish mountain lakes, and have honest, gentle conversations about mental health and healing. No judgment. No pressure. No perfection. Just calm skies, quiet trails, and a space where you’re never alone.
Let’s ride. Let’s heal. Together.

Thanks man. I loved that car for the time I had her. Still have a soft spot for this car.
