I am a BBW and diabetic. I found out my rashes and chafing are also fungal. I cannot use cornstarch because fungus feeds off of cornstarch which makes it worse for me. The absolute best product I have found is Desenex powder in the yellow bottle. It is a antifungal powder found in the athletes foot section of stores. It works FANTASTIC. If my rash is really bad and painful I will use some Lotrimin cream first to give it extra soothing and healing, then put the powder over it, which helps the powder stick more. A good way to know if your rash is fungal is if it has a horrible smell. Also, if it goes away but comes back often. It returns because the powder dries up the rash but doesn't kill the fungus. My doctor is the person who gave me this advice because these rashes kept coming back all the time for me. Being diabetic also makes a person more susceptible to fungal irritations/yeast infections. None of these are fun. I used to let it get me down and make me feel dirty and unattractive. Not anymore. We are all beautiful and sharing what products we use to take care of ourselves helps everyone. I hope my input has also helped someone!

Use Listerine, the yellow kind. Soak a cotton ball or washcloth with the Listerine and dab it on the infected area. The redness will be gone by morning! Sometimes ill put a little powder on after I use the Listerine.

Lord I needed this, being a bbw, chafing and sweating under my boobs is awful and I’m in menopause so the hot flashes are even worse. I will try this, thank you very much. 🏾

FYI: I'm not any type of healthcare professional, but I believe the scare over baby powder was about the ingredient called TALCUM which "they" have recently learned is carcenogenic and I believe it is actually a mineral. The scare was NOT at all about cornstarch (a plant product) - cornstarch is totally safe in that regard, so I say powder to your little heart's content with cornstarch!!!

Just use plain corn starch not powder not mixed with any thing. You find it in the baking section at the store. Do not wet the area. Make sure you dry the area then put the cornstarch on. If you use water and leave it wet and put the cornstarch on your problem will get worst.
