I provide in-home care for several different Adults with mental disabilities and/or psychiatric disorders, 3 days a week I provide care to a woman that has Autism… she lights up when she hears upbeat Country music, this playlist has become a large part of our daily personal care/bathing routine, after breakfast I put this on my phone and let it play throughout bathing her and she’s over the moon… tapping her foot to the beats, grinning from ear to ear, and even does a shimmy shimmy when Hank Jr sings

I am Turkish and I love this music very much. We listen to country music with my little son every morning. But I have a few questions. What is the importance of country music to you Americans? Do people who listen to this music have racist tendencies? Is there such a perception in my country because it has a tendency to exclude other societies and religions who listen to this music?

Please take me back. The best era, the best times, Growing up in the 70,s and the 80's and the world seemed so idyllic and simple. What I wouldn't give to go back. I look in the rearview mirror. and smile .Forever grateful for growing up when I did. Thete will never be music like this ever again!
