There is also an interesting that the "Days" refered to in the first chapter of Genesis can also mean long periods of time. Genesis 1:5 says that God divides the Day in day and night. Also in Genesis 2:, all creative periods are called "the day" or one "day". A man's lifetime can be refered to his "day". The bible does not specify that the days mentioned in Genesis are of 24h, nor that they were long periods of time. It is an important matter to be discussed.

I know most of you probably arn't going to read this, but next week I turn, 16, and i want to become a walrus. I know there's a million people out there just like me, but i promise you im different. On December 14th, im moving to Antartica (home of the greatest walruses). I'v already cut off my arms, and now slide on my stomach everywhere i go as training. I may not be a walrus yet, but i promise you if you give me a chance and the support i need, i will become the greatest walrus.

Here was this creator who gave them the whole world to have dominion over, he gave them life and everything good in it, but they said, 'nah, we don't need you God, thanks, but no thanks, we'll take it from here'. When they sinned, they could no longer be in God's presence, because God is only goodness and love, and sin cannot come into the presence of God. And because God was the one who gave them life, when they turned away from that, they could no longer live (they had to die).

Skeptics view everything with an open mind, reason and rational thinking. As much as you don't want it, the Judeo-Christians, bible, and any other religion has impacted our live styles and history. Even if they believe in something that defies the scientific method. It's good to always learn about everything.

It is highly likely that the ark would have been dismantled, as there would have been no surviving trees for lumber and fire wood. Regardless of what happened to the ark, it is unlikely that wood would last over 4,000 when outside and exposed to rain and snow.

It's like we're electrical appliances, we need to be plugged in to God (the power source) to fully live. But now we're only running on batteries, soon to die. And essentially, what Jesus came to do was to 'reconnect' us to God, so we can have life again. He took that 'death' penalty for us so we don't have to die. He removed our 'sin'.

What God is offering now, is that you trust in him, trust in what Jesus came to do, so he can give us the life we were meant to have back here in Genesis, a perfect world where we will be with God, the Creator of the universe, face to face. That is what Christians believe in layman’s terms. But yeah, I suppose we can’t ‘prove it, but it’s up to you

I question what standard of time did the Creator use when he created things before the sun. The first thing was heaven and earth, I suppose the earth then was static not rotating? Probably "earth" in Genesis 1 meant material laws and heaven means non material laws?
