Pikmin 1 and 2 is like Portal and Portal 2. Revolutionary first game with 'experimental' gameplay. Then the second came out so polished and more of a full game!! *Chef's kiss

another thing they modified was that when playing without motion controls, the cursor extends a bit farther than it did in the original gamecube version which gives you a little more reach.

Pikmin 2 did update treasure textures because the original had real life marketing brands on them.

From how I felt it, it’s like the Wii but with the GameCube Controller as whistling Bomb Carriers doesn’t make them drop their bomb Rocks.(Which was in the Wii Version, GameCube allowed for you to whistle them and they would drop and detonate them)

$30 dollars EACH for a re-release port? F*** me that’s very Nintendo of them.

There are a few quality of life improvements cus im pretty sure they are ports of the wii version but u can use either regular or motion. The branding in 2 is all gone cus they are the PAL version its why the mary jane leaf is gone. Price wise yes these are worth it even the wii releases u r looking at 70-100 bucks

Most likely the Wii version since it's widescreen, though there is a way to know for certain.

I would buy them physically that I preferred, I bet the switch version would look much better then before sounds worth an upgrade.

Do you know if they fixed the crush glitch in the Pikmin 1 port? On the wii and GameCube version multiple enemies (mostly bulborbs) would kill Pikmin after death by clipping them into the floor so I’m wondering if they fixed that.

im completly new to the pikmin series, just recently pikmin 4 got my attention and im really inclined to buy it. But im also interested in playing a prior pikmin game so i can get the feel of the games. At the moment i have a limited budget, should pikmin 1&2 be my first experience or should i play pikmin 3 for a more recent and updated experience?
