In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
Say: He is Allah, the One and Only;
Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;
He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;
And there is none like unto Him.
(Surah Ikhlas, Ayah 1-4)
βBe in this world as though you were a stranger or a wayfarer.β
On the authority of Abdullah ibn Umar (ra), who said:
The Messenger of Allah (saw) took me by the shoulder and said, βBe in this world as though you were a stranger or a wayfarer.β
And Ibn Umar (ra) used to say, βIn the evening do not expect [to live until] the morning, and in the morning do not expect [to live until] the evening. Take [advantage of] your health before times of sickness, and [take advantage of] your life before your death.β
