As a GSP owner, that’s an easy bet. The Pit has more weight and, size advantage however, the GSP is more determined as a breed and, typically will be relentless once they are dead set on getting something.

i have only had one german shorthair, but you can tell alot by them, they are very clingy and you better be prepaired, my dog crys with joy when anyone gets home

GSP might be the most athletic dog breed on the planet. I wouldn't underestimate one. I once saw one get shot and continue to hunt for an hour until someone noticed. I've seen them dive into freezing lakes to get birds. Dogs don't come much tougher or faster.

GSP are bad ass dogs. They are bred to be strong, quick and loyal. Mine boy is 51lbs of tenacious dog. You want a tough dog, get a GSP. Not a pit.

Pits have such strong neck muscle that when they shake and snap their heads anything can happen. The short hair held it's own against the odds. Good work out for both!!

Just like my Missi. She doesn't like to give up her rope and will pull as hard and long as it takes to keep it. Sometimes she'll try to take the ball out of another dogs mouth and get locked into a tug o war battle that way, its always funny to watch.

not only strong, shorthairs are also very loyal, they might die of a broken heart if attached to someone and that person have to leave for periods of time
