For a show that was on the air for such a short time, it has had amazing staying power and was a huge influence on American society even till today. No shows of today even come close to Starsky & Hutch.

Jay Leno can talk all day long about his beloved cars. The only car I want in my garage is a 1975 Ford Gran Torino identical to the one Starsky describes throughout the various episodes.
