Thanks man for breaking it down. I grew up on rice and I'm a niner fan. Moss is good but had no impact in the superbowls. At least Owen's tried while injured when he went to the bowl.

Everyone says Moss changed the game because of all his “great” catches and jump balls, but they forget JR didn’t have to do that because his route running was so good he was wide open taking 15-20 yard handoffs. Then They throw up the QB argument, but without Jerry there is no Steve Young, and without Jerry TO would be just another WR. TO got his fame because everyone was worried about JR. Oh and don’t forget how good he made Elvis Grbac look...good enough for the Chiefs to sign him as there starting QB...

I'm glad somebody gets it. People forget Moss was a no show in the super bowl when he was a 49er. Also, Steve Young wasn't a Hall of Famer until he played with Rice. Steve Young was a almost a bust with Tampa and the USFL. Rice could be the best football player ever, or in the conversation with the Jim Brown, Lawrence Taylor, and Walter Payton's of the world. Moss did what he was supposed to do running 8 and 9 routes. 6'4 with 4.2 speed, he better be good at vertical routes and deep post. Rice could run 0 through 9 and play the Z, X and slot. This isn't a comparison...lol. Six HOF corners covered Rice...and the safeties would take your head off.

Both were dominant as hell. Both unstoppable.. In Moss's defense, he had 1 good qb for a season and 1 great for 2 seasons.. Rice played with 2 great qbs damn near his whole career... in Rice's defense, he put up one of his best statistical seasons with elvis Grbac. All things equal, I'd probably take Moss but im not losing either way.

People crying about moss not having the QB but he played in a time when throwing the ball was the way to move the ball. End of the day you have to go by stats the rest is just subjective
