The most amazing thing about this incident is that the driver actually stopped instead of fleeing the scene. Hit-and-run is a way of life in this town.

As a bicycle rider I understand why that bike rider was sitting down after he got hit by the car because after getting hit by a car the mind becomes disoriented especially not knowing yet if there's any broken bones or not. People do drive pretty crazy out in this area. I know that, I been there a few times.

Do you live in downtown LA? The bike lanes on main and spring are both on the road. Bikes are allowed on the street if my memory serves me correct. And the sidewalks in downtown aren't that wide and there's always people on those sideWALKs. Where people, you know, WALK. In Hollywood, I believe, it's illegal to be on the, you guessed it, sidewalk. Take a minute and let this all soak in.
