What I love the most here is that the Cougar actually has the same expressions and design as the horses facially? Like it shows a lot of panic or focus with it’s eyebrows and mouth, it’s eyes have a shine to them. That Cougar is just as much of a being with thoughts and feelings as Spirit and the Eagle are.

My little sister always pretended like the cougar was Spirit’s backpack as a joke and that he was talking to his backpack. We were weird.

CRIMINALLY underrated movie. Such smooth animation for its time (ESPECIALLY WITH HORSES). The storyline is perfect too, I learned so much from this movie when I was a kid

The character movement was very smooth! I also like the part when Spirit didn't kill the cougar, even though it would be fair, he gave it a second chance

I love this resounded version. It is more natural. No loud cougar roar when it was prowling and no aggressive hissingyowl when it was chased away and was in full panicmodus. Good work.
