Every person I’ve met who became sober claim their life has only improved. No regrets.

2 months sober today. A milestone for me. Been in a similar position before so vigilance is required. I was even tempted the other daym came out of nowhere. Ill have to make sobriety a priority again and not on the back burner! I cant afford to slip again.

Day one for me, bleh, you are so right. It’s the emotional thing that needs to be healed.

So much to reflect on! This popped up on my feed- I barely drink alcohol but I have been struggling with nicotine and cannabis abuse. Addiction is addiction. I never had a strong enough 'why; but you put it into words perfectly and I'm now fired up about emotional sobriety. I'm tired of numbing!!
