this is what you should know before adopting a snake

Hi, I love reptiles, specifically snakes, and I want to help anyone If they have this type of cage and are worried the heat mat will cause it to melt. As long as the heat mat isn't overly hot, it shouldn't be an issue. If however, you need the heat mat to be a temperature that is quite hot for a reason, I suggest putting a layer under the actual cage. When I say layer, this could be duct tape, very very thin wood, or if you are not in a rush and are OK to spend some time on this, carefully remove the bottom of the plastic cage and replace it with a glass bottom. Glue it very well onto the rest if the plastic cage. You may think It's just easier to get a glass cage, but no. It costs more money and having glass walls, it makes it very hard to keep heat inside your snakes cage. Hope I helped someone

DUDE...i feel sorry for ur ball pythons... t hides one in heat one in cool...now if hes getting over heated he has to come out of hiding to cool down...
