Description
Pennsylvania-bred rock band Concrete Castles took their name from one of the first songs they ever wrote together, a wildly cathartic anthem called “Thrill.” As frontwoman Audra Miller reveals, the song was inspired by the pure joy that she and her bandmates Matt Yost (guitar) and Sam Gilman (drums) have found in chasing their dreams with no backup plan. The trio possess a profound instinct for the intricacies of song construction, thanks in part to the many years they’ve spent playing in a cover band whose YouTube channel boasts over a million subscribers and a quarter billion views. They began writing their own original music and brought in writers/producers, John and Stephen Gomez (of TWIN XL) to help bring those songs to life.

It's so cool to see how this song matured over time; it's got elements of that first to eleven sound shining through into something totally new. Clearly the same song, but it's got that unmistakably Concrete Castles energy now and I am living for it. I love how much more confident Audra sounds in this one than the previous version.

The song that started it all!! I always loved the originals made by F211 and having this song make it's reappearance not only in the album but also as in inspiration to the band name was really awesome. Hearing this song live was also a different experience altogether. Can't wait to hear the last 3 songs tonight
