TFIL started in 2016 with a broken down motorhome, a few hundred dollars and an ambitious yet absolutely ridiculous list of 1,000 things to do before we die. We didn't even have a passport when it began...
TFIL has gone on to accomplish 300+ of 1,000 goals, visit 40+ countries, 7 continents while in search of once in a lifetime experiences and doing their best to help those in need along the way.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
-Helped raise over $1,000,000 for various charities.
-Donated 5 Million meals for Feeding America.
-Planted 270,000 Trees Planted via Trees.Org.
-11 Guinness World Record titles

It makes me very sad that the people who ended it in that forest felt that they had no way out. According to what I’ve heard and read, Japan has a somewhat abysmal mental health track record in terms of care. I don’t know if that’s been improved since this forest has gotten international attention, but I hope it has to prevent tragic cases such as this.

I honestly sweat watching this, as a suicide survivor this was hurtful for me to watch and I feel bad for everyone who couldn’t get through their troubles. I met the person who kept me alive and I’m lucky to have them. I just. I wish people could see how I saw, and I know everyone had a different story, but there’s always another way out. I just, I feel bad for everyone who feels there’s no way out

My grandfather lives near that forest and he once went with his friend who goes to the forest every week and looks for bodies to bury them and he puts flowers all over the forest. I'm surprised they didn't see the flowers.
