I sang this at graduation in 1983. Many of my classmates were crying as i walked back to my seat. Every reunion, they ask to hear it again, so I sing it. The words were so perfect for a graduation song. They are perfect for every reunion. They are perfect for life itself.

This song is a true masterpiece. It speaks to anyone who is grieving. I've found that songs like this...songs that make you cry...give great relief from the "grief-bomb" that can break over you like an unexpected tidal wave. This song embraces loss and shows that loss can remind us of love. It is love that withstands time.
