$50 is crazy low imo, even for a simple animation style. We pay our artists a lot more than that, and they aren't even animations, and we always ALWAYS credit our talent. I make a laughably small single digit percentage compared to what Nutshell makes; If I can pay my artists fairly, so can they, many many times over, and still not worry about rent.

Nutshell paying 50 dollars for an uncredited animation that makes like thousands of dollars is like running a lemonade and getting 100 dollars at most, and only giving your friend a penny.

Nutshell started off as a funny animation channel that was 1 guy making animations. Then as they blow up on TikTok and YouTube Shorts, they started to become more and more of a content farm. (Proof: see how many times they milked that "crispy juicy tender" audio.) Not only do they not make the animations anymore, I don't even think they record the gameplay for their gaming channels.

I'm just happy we didn't discover another PDF on YouTube.

Fun fact: 6.50$/hour IS BELOW MINIMUM WAGE. minimum wage is required by law to be at least 7.25$/hour.
