I feel like making Herobrine glow like that kinda diminishes the effect a little , just because a lot of the fear factor of that original image was that you could just barely see him in the render fog.

What makes Minecraft unintentionally creepy is the feeling that your alone, but you also feel that your aren’t alone. It’s a constant feeling of stranger danger but you don’t know where the danger is or where the stranger is

Don't completely leave your wooden tools behind. Bring them with you so that when you get a furnace, you can use it as fuel, and it will always smelt 1 item regardless of its durability.
