Sadly, "On The Border" was a very underrated song that only reached #42 on the Billboard 100 Charts. This song is actually about the Spanish Civil War and the even larger changes that were coming with WW2 on the horizon, and before. Al Stewart had a great knack for playing songs with such a rich tapestry of imagery with his classical guitar. Next to "Time Passages" this is my favorite.
