I mostly make french house/sample-based music, but have often dipped my toes into other styles as well!
I also make mashups and more meme-leaning stuff from time to time, so that's cool

This really demostrates how the song still comes first with this type of sample-based songwriting - you can swap out every sample and the song is still there. It's just using existing songs as the primary instrument

putting LCD Soundsystem as the primary drum base, so that its constantly looping through the entire song, seems especially fitting to me. LCD Soundsystem obviously are big fans of Daft Punk, given their song "Daft Punk is playing at my house". Great work Nickster!
